I realized last night while I was working at Barnes & Noble that I had forgotten to pick a winner for my giveaway. Whoops! I had an ‘aha!’ moment when I was walking by the fantasy section and I saw The Name of the Wind just chillin’, and then I was like, “Oh, shit!” Then after work this morning, because I’m a professional now, didn’t you know, I assigned numbers to every comment and plugged all y’all’s numbers into a random generator. Sir!
From Etcetera, Etcetera. He doesn’t have a Twitter account. (This literally has nothing to do with anything, other than I think he should have a Twitter account.) So happy Tuesday, Sir; I will put the book in the mail tomorrow. Or maybe Thursday. Or Friday. (You know, whenever my brain remembers to function properly.)

Painting from the French cover of 'The Name of the Wind.'
CRAP! Last Sunday?!? You should’ve sent me an email or shot a flare or lit the Bat Signal or something. Do you even have my mailing address?
I thought about emailing you, but then I decided to wait and see how long it would take you to notice.
And yes, I have your address, unless it’s changed since I sent you the CD?
Clever! And effective! Same address.
BTW…Battlestar Galactica is starting to own me a little and I’m only halfway through the first season.
I do plan on answering your BSG email, by the way. It just takes me forever to respond to email, especially an email as important as that.
