It’s not because I don’t love you, or because I’m quitting this blog (or the other one). It’s because the next two months are going to SUCK. Disappearing is actually the wrong word to use, because I’ll still be here, still reading your blogs (although much more selectively, and with liberal use of the Mark All as Read button on Google Reader). But I definitely won’t be posting with any kind of regularity until May. I have two, count ‘em, TWO conference length papers due in the next three weeks, two batches of student papers to grade (which adds up to 100 essays), and a panel presentation to prepare. This is on top of normal schoolwork and teaching, of course, and as much as I’d like to say that the Internet is my #1 priority (because honestly sometimes it is), I would really appreciate not failing out of graduate school.
Anyway, I might still post occasionally, I don’t know, but I’m not making any plans. (Although Twitter is DEFINITELY off limits except on select occasions. I have also temporarily quit Farmville, which effectively means I have also quit Facebook.) I just didn’t want you all to think I’d died or something.
