it helps to think we’re sleeping underneath the same big sky

I didn’t think it would ever happen. We’re ten episodes in to Community, and while I liked it a lot, I didn’t love it. Well anyway, tonight I fell in love, because that’s what happens when you give me a musical number referencing a cheesy 80s children’s movie starring a Russian mouse* that ties together not two, but three storylines in such a way that I am laughing, crying, and farting (from doing the other two things plus lunch) all at the same time. Bravo, Community. Bravo.

*As a point of interest, this is mine and Emily‘s song. Emily: someday we’ll be together in that big somewhere out there.

  1. Okay, I’m going to finally start watching Community v. soon. Funnily enough, the night you posted this I was at a drunk party, where somehow everyone ended up singing this song. When I stumbled into bed that night and saw your post I got really confused thinking maybe you had been at the party.

Also, confession: I did not like American Tale as a child and consequently have scoffish tendencies about it now.
